COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ROOTSTOCKS AND THEIR EFFECTS ON STIONIC ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MANGO SEEDLINGS

To explore the quality rootstock which impart better stionic establishment of mango seedlings, we studied comparative effect scion and using three varieties (Sindhri, Chaunsa Neelum) grafted on rootstocks i.e. Ratam, Pado Sindhri. Parameters including seed germination (%), seedling height (cm), leaves rootstock-1, vigor index (SVI), fresh biomass shoot roots (g), dry chlorophyll content (rg), diameter (mm), ratio, graft-1 sturdiness quotient were studied. Results showed best (88.33%), (5158.74), (3.89) in rootstock. However maximum (20.67 g), (16.2 (12.65 (8.33 g) observed Sindhri rootstocks.
